During my recent trip to Hamburg in February, I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful emerald city for 7 nights at 2 different hotels. The first hotel that I stayed at was the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel located in the heart of Hamburg, just steps away from landmarks including Jungfernstieg and Hamburg Harbor.
The Renaissance Hotel was the perfect base for exploring Hamburg, just a 5-minute walk from Jungfernsteig station where the trains from the airport stop. While the hotel is on the smaller side, the beautifully refurbished rooms boast superb ultra-contemporary interior design. I had such a luxurious stay on the top floor large suite, where there were several large windows that opened to the terrace with a beautiful cityscape view of Hamburg. The toiletries were Bvlgari, which smelled divine and I ended up stashing a few in my suitcase. As always with hotels managed by Marriott, the services were at the highest level as well.
In February, the weather in Hamburg was in the low 20 degrees Fahrenheit so I was bundled up in several layers of clothing whenever I stepped out. I walked on the outdoor terrace every morning to get a glimpse of the view of Hamburg. Every morning for breakfast, a buffet-style brunch was served downstairs with an amazing variety selection of savory food and fruits. It was one of the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel and everything tasted so fresh and was made with a lot of care.
This hotel looks amazing! Will try this when I next visit Hamburg!
