I recently had the pleasure of trying the new L’Oréal® Paris Elvive Products and I want to share with you guys the hair products I purchased from this line. After taking the L’Oréal hair diagnostic test for my hair type, I chose the L’Oréal products from their Elvive line that the diagnostic test recommended me to try. The hair diagnostic test is a damage diagnostic quiz with 6 questions that tell you how damaged your hair is and which L’Oréal Paris Elvive hair products are suitable for your hair type.
In my case, I have pretty damaged, dehydrated hair due to all the bleaching I’ve done over the course of 2 years. I experimented with unicorn hair and have colored my hair pink, purple, blue, gray, brown, and now I’m currently an ashy blonde. I visit the hair salon to dye my hair every 2 to 3 months. Not only is my hair damaged, but I try to use hair products that also help maintain the color of my hair so that the color won’t go brassy and I avoid washing my hair as much as I can with the help of dry shampoo.
The hair diagnostic test recommended the products Elvive Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge and Elvive Color Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm, which I purchased at my local Target store in the hair care aisle.
After just one use of the Protein Recharge, I instantly saw the results and noticed my hair feeling stronger, softer, and healthier. The Protein Recharge did a wonderful job at making my hair feel silky smooth again and I really look forward to seeing the benefits it will have on my hair after continued usage. I generally avoid using heat tools and use the cool air setting on my hair dryer on days when I really need to blow dry my hair. However, there are still some days when I enjoy giving my hair some extra volume with tousled, beachy waves using a curling iron so I love the fact that this product protects your hair from 450-degree heat. For women with some hair damage and who regularly use hot tools, this product really is a must.
As for the Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm, this is an intensive post-color repair hair treatment that smoothes and protects hair color. The Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm is specially formulated for dry, damaged, color treated hair and repairs visible damage from processing in just one use. Not only did this hair mask effectively reverse and minimize the damage my hair received from bleaching and coloring, but this product was also great for keeping my hair color looking fresh. As a blogger, I always enjoy dyeing my hair and trying out different colors but I hate fading, so this really helps extend the life of each hair color application by minimizing the color fade.
The hair diagnostic test recommended the right hair products for my hair type and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I definitely recommend taking the short quiz to determine how damaged your hair is and purchase L’Oréal Paris Elvive hair products for your hair type. I love how all the hair products from this line are fairly affordable, yet the quality of these products are all so amazing. They also have a Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm and Extraordinary Oil if you are interested in checking those out!
