This is my first purchase of a mini backpack from Kenneth Cole that I’m fashioning with this outfit. I know I might be a little late on the backpack trend, but a lot of it is because it use to be my “thing” to stick with designer bags exclusively and luxury backpacks aren’t being sold much in the current markets. I only own a few designer bags, but they make great statement pieces that instantly polish any outfit you’re wearing. Mixing affordable pieces with high-end pieces was key to me in stylizing a great outfit, but my opinions have shifted lately. As I’ve been discovering more local boutiques through e-commerce, I’ve particularly enjoyed finding unique, quality pieces instead. Plus, it also feels great to support local businesses.

My motto for fashion is to just have fun with it. Chances are you might grow tired of what you wore a year ago, or you might even think some outfits you wore looked atrocious, but it’s the confidence you had wearing in it that counts. For me, fashion doesn’t define who I am, but it’s a mixture of my mood, self-expression, and a certain degree of practicality.

Let’s be honest. It doesn’t hurt if the person wearing the outfit just happens to be smoking hot. Am I right?
