I’ve been pretty consumed with my phone lately engaging in support groups for the fashion blogger community. Previously, I was a member of a website called heartifb.com, which was a great online community for fashion bloggers to support and educate one another, but they recently changed their subscription to require a monthly fee of $15 from users.

As great as the service was, I decided to look for other alternatives that are free. I started forming support groups on Instagram with other bloggers, but quickly realized how limiting they were since Instagram doesn’t allow more than 15 users per group.

A month later, I discovered the glorious app of Telegram. On telegram, you can create a supergroup of up to 5,000 users and it can be downloaded on your computer or mobile phone.

Being a part of these groups not only help in building relationships with other bloggers, but it’s a great place for bloggers to share their experience and advise other bloggers on growth and engagement. Although there are a ton of groups on Telegram, not all support groups are created equal. I find that it’s most helpful to be in groups with active users in similar niches. Blogging is always about the community, the friendships, and the building up of each other. As important as creating great content is, I feel that networking and engagement are equally important factors to build up your blog. If you want to be supported, you need to be willing to support others as well to form the community that you want.
