Couple weekends ago I went on a little road trip to Salton Sea with my gal pals, Yuka and Judy, who are also LA-based bloggers. We started off the day with going to Culver City farmer’s market, where I picked up orange juice, roasted garlic hummus, and pita bread. Since we were on the road, that was literally what we snacked on all day, but it was to our pleasure because the hummus was freshly made and soo delicious.

The owner of the hummus booth practically feeds you an entire meal of samples and gives great deals for his homemade tubs of hummuses. He doesn’t just carry your average standard hummus, but they have a wide array of selections of different hummuses from sundried tomato hummus to garlic basil hummus. I definitely cannot rave more about this diamond in a dozen hummus booth, and will definitely be paying a visit there again soon for a food blog posts in the future.

As for our road trip, it took us a decent 3+ hours to get to Salton Sea with all the traffic, but we had a delightful time in the car just chatting away with stories. When we arrived, we went straight to our photoshoot amongst the abandoned infrastructure by the beach. The beach wreaked of the scent of dead fish and it smelled really salty, but we bore with it for the sake of snapping some cool outfit photos.

After our time at the Salton Sea, we swung by East Jesus in Niland, where the inhabitants created various art installations including Salvation Mountain. Stay tuned for the next blog post to see those photos!

You look amazing! I’ve been around here. Did you get to salvation mountain? Is not too far from it. My fiance and I drove all the way there on our last visit to LA and it was totally worth the long drive. Below http://thestylishflaneuse.com/salvation-mountain-leonard-knights-gift-to-the-world/
