We got our shoot on a random construction scaffolding in the Arts District in LA. It wasn’t the most aesthetic, but my boyfriend insisted it would be a good idea to do so and it came out much better than I anticipated.
I think that the unexpected quality of shooting everyday items that seemingly can be easily overlooked and then juxtaposing them with something utterly unexpected makes it somehow interesting or compelling. It gives extra attention that you would give to something, something overlooked that needs attention. I liked that there’s something romantic about remembering the underdog or the forgotten places and people.
