Lately, life has been moving at a slow pace for me since my day job keeps my life scheduled. I wake up at 7am on weekdays like clockwork and come home by 5:30pm, which is when I begin most of my blog work.

Few days ago, I discovered that I’ll be able to focus on doing my blog full-time, which I’m extremely excited about. I can create better creative content for my readers and still be able to pay the bills.

For all other bloggers out there, be careful to not let companies exploit you by making you do work for a bunch of freebies, since that’s what I’ve been doing for the most part up until this point. Creating a dedicated blog requires time and effort that’s undervalued by companies because of those who do sponsor posts for free. If you think about it, you’re essentially creating an ad for their product on your blog and social media. Know your value and worth by experimenting with your rates after you hit 10K on any of your social media platforms. Social Blue Book is also a good site to find out your approximate worth on Instagram.

I’m pleased to share that I will soon become a full-time blogger in the upcoming months. I’m learning to figure out how much to charge my rates so that I can attain enough sponsorships and still be able to pay my monthly bills. I’ll definitely share with you guys the knowledge I’ve gained along the way for those of you interested in learning on how to capitalize your blog.
