I recently had the pleasure of making a brief road trip with my girl Hieu to Palm Springs. We had such a relaxing time exploring Coachella Valley, enjoying the spa at Miramonte Resort, visiting quaint coffee shops, and doing a number of other activities.
Palm Springs offers diverse and breathtaking beautiful landscapes to explore and admire. Surrounded by dramatic mountains on all sides, no matter which direction you point your camera, there’s a stunning backdrop to frame your photos, making Palm Springs a location with a ton of remarkable photo opportunities.
The Miramonte Resort was such a wonderful hotel for us to stay at and the hotel’s midcentury modern interior decoration looked absolutely stunning.
Since I was looking forward to unwinding and relaxing when I came to Palm Springs, I knew I had to experience the spa at the Miramonte Resort. I had an amazing one hour massage booked here, which really was a soothing and calming experience for me.
The spa resorts and retreats through Palm Springs offer a spectrum of rejuvenating treatments and healing rituals that makes it such a therapeutic spa experience. Combined with a daily dose of warm sunshine, mesmerizing natural scenery, clean air and healing mineral waters, it’s little wonder that Palm Springs has emerged as one of the world’s most sought-after wellness destinations. Wellness is a way of life in this oasis.
The dining experience at the Miramonte resort was just as lovely as well. The ingredients used for all their dishes were so fresh and I love the fact that they provided gluten-free options for health nuts like myself.
A few other local restaurants that I recommend for some delicious meals would be Eight4Nine and Aqua California Bistro. Eight4Nine is such a cool, hip restaurant and the beautiful, clean interior space makes this location a perfect Instagram-worthy spot. Aqua California Bistro serves hearty American food that is well-cooked and the servings are in large portions. The menus for both these restaurants also contain some dishes that are gluten-free, which I really appreciated as well.
For outdoor activities, you can explore Palm Springs‘ natural wonders at a leisurely pace or kick it up to a whole new level in challenging landscapes. There are a number of trails for you to hike, or you can aboard a rugged desert jeep tour to the legendary San Andreas Fault.
Big Wheel Tours offer a unique opportunity to take a thrilling 4-hour desert jeep tour along the San Andreas Fault and each tour is a true wilderness experience that’s tailored to your interests. The San Andreas Fault traverses the north side of Palm Springs, which over time created the famous hot springs that locals and visitors enjoy.
Palm Springs and its breathtaking surroundings are a hiker’s paradise, thanks to more than 100 spectacular trails in the area. The Indian Canyons, Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, Coachella Valley Preserve, Whitewater Preserve, Mecca Hills and Painted Canyon are among the many beautiful areas to explore. You can find trails for every skill level, from easy nature loops to incredibly scenic, strenuous treks.
Although Palm Springs may look like an arid desert landscape, it is a destination made for relaxation, health, and wellness. Whether you want to have an unforgettable adventure or chill by the poolside at a luxury resort spa, Palm Springs has it all, making it the perfect vacation getaway.
When I lived in LA I should have made a trip out there. It wasn’t too far and I used to go to spa resorts every season to soak and get a massage. It sounds like a great place to be for that. I’ll have to check it out when I return in a few months.
