Suspender Girl

Here’s another new clothing piece I decided to experiment with; a suspender skirt.The criss cross detailing in the back is a nice extra touch to this pinafore skater skirt. Paired with solid whites and blacks, I thought I’d create a classic 60’s mod inspired look with these babies. The black thigh high’s paired with black patent leather booties elongate the lower half of my body (tip: to appear taller wear the same color stocking/socks as your footwear).

Since I was going for a classic look, I thought I’d go with a red lip for the day. Typically, I don’t experiment as much when it comes to make-up since it’s not my forte. I usually go for a natural look with some smokey eyes, but I’m excited to perhaps experiment a little more in this area in the future after my blog is more developed. Just as social media has been such an amazing gateway to discover inspirational fashion trends and styles from everyday people, likewise there’s been plenty of up and coming makeup gurus, who’ve mastered the art of makeup in creating different personas for people.

There’s still so much for me to learn from the inspiration I stumble upon on the internet. 😛
